A Bookkeeper is the person who provides the financial support role to other professionals. Bookkeeping is the process of recording financial transactions usually by the double-entry system. The double-entry system ensures integrity of financial values by recording the transaction in two different sections.

Double-entry bookkeeping can be made manually via ledgers or through accountancy software. Accountancy software increases the speed at which bookkeeping can be performed and removes the need for manual ledgers.
